ALL competitors are required to sign the Concussion Awareness Form. This is a requirement for this venue. Please sign and bring the form with you to the taikai.
If you are ordering a bento, please let me know if you want chicken or vegetarian.
Women can either enter the individual mixed or individual womens. You cannot enter both. Please let me know which one you prefer.

Get permission from Choi Sensei to test. For 3 kyu you need to have practiced kendo for at least 12 months. 2 kyu and 1 kyu need 6 months at the previous rank. Please see the attached documents for more information and the schedule for October 13.
We are holding an Oregon Kendo seminar on Oct 12 Saturday before the Oregon Shinsa on Oct 13 Sunday (Up to 1 Kyu). The seminar will be led by Koike Sensei of NW Kendo. The theme of the seminar this time is "Sae (sharp strike)."
The seminar is for yudansha, yukyusha and people who are taking kyu shinsa in the near future. Bogu is required.

The PNKF is happy to invite you to this year's shinpan seminar. Open to all, this opportunity to practice together will focus on 3rd Dan and above to help improve the quality of shinpan in the PNKF. All PNKF members that are 2nd Dan and below are welcome and encouraged to attend the seminar so that we have shiaisha for the seminar participants (ie—3rd Dan and up) to practice on.

Open to all, this opportunity to practice together will focus on both Nihon Kendo Kata - the ones we are typically more familiar with - as well as Bokuto niyoru Kendo Kihonwaza Keikoho or BKKK - which we might still be getting acquainted with.

For our first ever Shiai Seminar, we wanted to give an opportunity to explore a subject that we don't normally have the time to cover in our regular keiko sessions. First Pracice of the New Year! Potluck to follow
A chance to hang-out and work on equopment maitenance after practice. Bring shinai, kote, or any other piece of equipment you might have that is falling apart or in need of a bit of work. The club will provide food (probably pizza) and folks are encouraged to bring additional dishes to share.
Due to a sudden loss of the IRCO Gym we are hoping to practice at the Sunnyside Grange. Updates forthcoming as we get confirmation.
